Neglected tropical diseases, antimicrobial resistance, drug discovery and bioinformatics. At this crossroad, my goal is to understand comorbidity that involves neglected tropical diseases and bacteria isolates to unravel insights in their complications and proffer new ideas in drug discovery. Over the years I have contributed to using crude drugs to treat/manage lymphatic filariasis and schistosomiasis and characterized multi-drug resistant bacteria isolates from lymphatic filariasis patients. With this approach, I aspire to drive emphasis on the need to understand comorbidity related to neglected diseases.
