Akinmoye Oluwambe is an Industrial Designer with specalization in Textile/Fashion Design. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Mountain Top University, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State. He holds Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Masters of Technology (M.Tech.) in Industrial Design (Textile Design) from Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State. He is a member of Textile Society of Nigeria (TSN) and Textile Researchers Association of Nigeria (TRAN).
He has his research works published both in local and international reputable journals. His areas of research include: crafting smart textile, studios and cottage textile production, sustainable textile and fashion/garment production, textile craft for well-being, continuous improvement and waste elimination in the ready-to-wear garment production through adoption of lean manufacturing techniques.
In addition, he is the Convener of Think Tank Movement (TTM) in Ondo State with the sole aim of improving the livelihood of youths, women, the elderly and the physically challenged. Currently, he is working on how to make textile design and craft soft skills to boost the self-esteem and well-being of the physically challenged.
