About Me
Bukola is a Research Scholar at the African Research Universities Alliance Centre of Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development, University of Lagos. She is an experienced learning facilitator, coach and student adviser who specializes in providing high-quality coaching and advisory support to student-entrepreneurs. She presently serves at the university co-working space and business incubation centre and has been instrumental in the design, development and delivery of several innovative entrepreneurial support programmes for students and faculty.
Bukola is an embodiment of positive energy and uses this to inspire youths to engage in human-centred innovative entrepreneurship that creates impact from the local community to the global space. She has worked with the centre-director and deputy director on several university-industry entrepreneurship education and skills development partnership projects including that of Platform Capital, Bookings Africa, Canon Africa and Bank of Industry, Nigeria.
She also volunteers for several not-for-profit organizations as facilitator and coach in skills development, entrepreneurship and employability initiatives that target youth and vulnerable populations in low-income and underserved communities. For over two years, she has been an active volunteer of the annual Lagos state Government Ready Set Work program (an employability and entrepreneurship initiative for fresh university graduates of the state) and have been instrumental to the development of soft and hard skills among the over 600 participants of the program in Lagos State University.
As a Ph.D student, Bukola has researched the entrepreneurship ecosystems of eight universities in Africa through the lens of student engagement, teaching quality, teaching –learning resources and teaching quality of entrepreneurship programs. Through this study, she developed collaborative entrepreneurship education framework that supports collaboration between internal and external stakeholders of the university. Her research interests are in students' entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, students' engagement and teaching quality.
