"I am writing my PhD on Gender Representations in Nigerian Children's Prose Fiction. My focus had been on examining gender representations using characterisation and themes to identify changes across periods in the texts. This allows for a study of the material culture that births each period in the development of the genre of Nigerian children's literature.
Recently, I started working on the examination of elderly women's sexuality in Nigerian literature and I intend to dig deeper into this by doing an ethnographic study that will allow for an investigation of the phenomenon with lived experiences of women to either validate or negate what fiction is saying.
