Prof. Morenike Ukpong

Morenike Ukpong has worked as a researcher with the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife for over 20 years with 260 peer-reviewed journal publications to her credit. She has also published extensively on ethical considerations in the design and implementation of clinical trials during the Ebola emergency in West Africa. She also serves as the Deputy Director of the College of Health Sciences’ Partnership and Research Advancement Unit and Coordinates the Research and Innovation Support Unit. Recently, her work on adolescent sexual, reproductive health and rights, and gender justice led to changes in policy and programs for adolescents living with HIV in Nigeria. She has worked as a Consultant with National Agency for the Control of AIDS, Population Council, ITAD, UNAIDS, WHO, Global Fund, MEMSII (a USAID funded project), WHO among others.
